General Manager – Cabinet Making

AJS is a commercial cabinetry business looking for a capable, hands-on General Manager to take ownership of our day-to-day operations.

We want someone who can lead the team, keep jobs moving, solve problems and make decisions**.**

You’ll work closely with the owner and our team across production, estimating and administration, with the autonomy to make decisions and keep things running smoothly.

The Role

• Keep projects on track from drawings through to installation
• Make sure drawings, approvals and materials are organised on time
• Manage production and installation schedules
• Set priorities and goals for estimating, production and the factory
• Coordinate subcontract installers
• Lead, manage and recruit staff
• Make sure the team is doing what needs to be done
• Handle day-to-day calls and emails
• Deal with builders, site managers and suppliers
• Negotiate supplier pricing
• Manage defects and call-backs
• Monitor costs and project margins
• Solve problems and get things done

We use CABINET VISION. Experience is an advantage but not essential.

About You

Experience in commercial cabinetry, joinery, shopfitting, construction or a similar trade-based business is highly regarded.

You’ll be organised, practical and commercially minded**,** with the confidence to lead people and make decisions.

You may currently be a General Manager, Operations Manager, Project Manager or Production Managerready to step into a senior role.
