What they need

Atlanta Area | Full-Time | Hands-On Operations Leadership

We are seeking a strong, highly organized General Manager to lead day-to-day operations for a high-volume

entertainment and event venue in the Atlanta area. This is not a desk-only management position. The right person is

visible on the floor, understands live events and nightlife, sets the standard for the team, and makes sure the building is

clean, efficient, welcoming, and ready to perform every time the doors open.

THE CULTURE

A successful venue is more than tickets, music, lights, and a building. The energy of the staff becomes part of the guest

experience. We are building a culture centered on accountability, hospitality, pride, positive energy, attention to detail,

and solutions.

We want a leader who understands that guests are paying to have a great experience. How the team communicates,

how the venue looks, how quickly problems are solved, and how people are treated all matter.

If you naturally notice what is out of place, take ownership without being chased, keep people moving

forward, and can hold high standards without creating unnecessary drama, this role may be a strong fit.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

  • Lead venue operations before, during, and after events and remain actively present during key operating hours.
  • Conduct pre-event walkthroughs to confirm cleanliness, appearance, staffing, supplies, safety, guest flow, and

operational readiness.

  • Maintain an exceptionally clean and presentable venue, including guest-facing spaces, staff areas, entrances,

restrooms, and operational zones.

  • Coordinate managers, security, cleaning teams, bartenders, support staff, vendors, and other departments so the

operation functions as one team.

  • Run staff huddles, communicate expectations clearly, assign responsibilities, and follow through until tasks are

completed.

  • Respond quickly and calmly to problems during live operations so the show continues and the guest experience is

protected.

  • Create and enforce efficient systems, checklists, schedules, procedures, and chains of command.
  • Hold employees accountable for punctuality, appearance, performance, attitude, professionalism, and completion of

assigned responsibilities.

  • Document performance issues, administer write-ups when appropriate, coach employees, and handle termination

professionally and respectfully when standards are repeatedly not met.

  • Help build a team that is solution-oriented, dependable, respectful, and proud of the venue.

Confidential Venue Recruitment | Atlanta Area Page 1 Pay close attention to how staff members speak to and approach guests. Hospitality, de-escalation, professionalism,

and respect are expected at all times.

  • Coordinate opening, closing, shift transitions, event execution, incident response, and post-event debriefs.
  • Identify inefficiencies and recurring problems, then implement practical solutions rather than allowing the same issues

to continue.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Prior management experience in nightlife, live entertainment, event venues, hospitality, restaurants, hotels, festivals,

or another high-volume customer-facing operation.

  • Strong operational instincts and the ability to manage multiple departments and priorities at the same time.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to compartmentalize, prioritize, delegate, and follow through.
  • Professional, clean-cut, punctual, dependable, and comfortable setting that same expectation for others.
  • Firm and decisive when necessary, while still communicating with employees and guests professionally.
  • Strong people-management skills, including coaching, corrective action, conflict resolution, documentation, and staff

accountability.

  • A hospitality mindset: approachable, positive, calm under pressure, and focused on creating a memorable customer

experience.

  • Ability to work independently, make decisions in real time, and take ownership of the operation.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where details matter and standards must remain consistent even

during busy events.

SCHEDULE & FLOOR PRESENCE

Friday: Operational presence beginning around 6:00 PM through closing; last call is approximately 2:45 AM.

Saturday: Operational presence beginning around 6:00 PM through closing; last call is approximately 2:45 AM.

Sunday: Event operations generally run from approximately 12:00 PM to midnight.

Additional planning, administrative, staffing, vendor, and venue-preparation responsibilities may occur outside live-event

hours. Nights and weekends are a core requirement of this position.

WHO WILL SUCCEED HERE

This position is for someone who believes strong hospitality and strong accountability belong together. You should be

able to walk into a room, understand what needs attention, organize people around a solution, and keep the operation

moving forward.

We are looking for someone who brings professionalism, urgency, pride, consistency, and positive leadership. Persistent

negativity, resistance to reasonable standards, poor follow-through, chronic lateness, or an unwillingness to take

ownership will not fit the culture we are building.

APPLICATION

Please submit a resume along with a brief explanation of your experience managing high-volume operations, events,

hospitality teams, or nightlife environments. Venue identity and additional details will be shared with qualified candidates during the interview process.

Pay: $70.00 - $85.00 per hour
