General Manager

Apex Management Group is opening a brand-new 73-room Clarion Pointe (a Choice Hotels brand) in Winnemucca, and we’re hiring a hands-on General Manager to lead it. This is a ground-floor opportunity to hire and build your own team, set the culture, and run daily operations from day one of a clean, comfortable select-service hotel with complimentary breakfast.

Ownership handles sales and revenue strategy remotely, so as GM you are the senior leader on property - the person who runs the hotel and makes it succeed. We are staffing up for an August 1, 2026 opening, so we’re moving quickly and early applicants will be prioritized.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations across front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and breakfast service
• Recruit, hire, train, and schedule the opening team, then develop them into a strong crew
• Own the property’s financial performance - manage labor, control costs, and hit budget
• Drive guest satisfaction and uphold Clarion Pointe / Choice Hotels brand standards
• Handle guest relations, resolve issues quickly, and build strong online reviews
• Keep the property clean, safe, well-maintained, and inspection-ready
• Manage vendor relationships, supplies, and inventory
• Partner with ownership on occupancy and overall performance

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hotel management experience (Assistant GM or GM level), ideally select- or limited-service
• Proven ability to hire, train, and lead a team
• Strong financial skills — comfortable with P&L, labor management, and budgets
• Excellent guest-service mindset and calm problem-solving under pressure
• Available to work a flexible schedule, including some weekends and holidays
• Choice Hotels and ChoiceADVANTAGE (PMS) experience a plus
• Pre-opening or hotel-launch experience a plus
