General Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee construction projects from planning to completion.
• Monitor project progress, costs, quality and safety.
• Lead and manage project and site teams.
• Manage project budgets, profitability, cash flow and contracts.
• Review variations, claims and major project costs.
• Oversee tendering, pricing and new business opportunities.
• Build and maintain good relationships with clients, consultants and business partners.
• Lead and develop the management and project teams.
• Ensure compliance with BCA, safety and statutory requirements.
• Report business and project performance to the Managing Director / Board.

Requirements

• Degree in Construction, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Accountancy, Finance, Business or related field.
• CPA, CA or equivalent professional accounting qualification is required.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience, preferably in the construction industry.
• Minimum 5 years in a senior management / GM / equivalent role.
• Strong knowledge of construction, contracts, project management and cost control.
• Good financial and commercial management skills.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation and decision-making skills.
• Good knowledge of BCA and safety requirements.
• High integrity and strong sense of responsibility.
