General Manager

*General Manager* : Manufacturing (Home Appliances / Refrigeration)

*Location* : Kinshasa, DR Congo (Central Africa)

*Reporting To* : Group CEO Industries

*Role Overview* :

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead end-to-end manufacturing operations for a home appliances business with a focus on chest freezers, refrigeration products, and related consumer appliances. The role will be responsible for driving operational excellence, profitability, business growth, and cross-functional leadership.

*Key Responsibilities:*

Lead manufacturing, production, engineering, maintenance, quality, and HSE functions.

Drive plant productivity, process improvements, automation, and lean manufacturing initiatives.

Manage plant P&L, budgeting, cost optimization, and capex projects.

Oversee supply chain, procurement, inventory, and logistics performance.

Lead new product development (NPD) and assembly line expansion projects.

Build and develop high-performing teams while ensuring operational discipline and accountability.

Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

*Candidate Profile*

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; MBA preferred.

1520 years of manufacturing experience with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

Strong experience in Home Appliances, Chest Freezers, Refrigeration, Consumer Durables, HVAC, or Commercial Refrigeration industries.

Expertise in Manufacturing Operations, Lean Manufacturing, NPD, Supply Chain, ERP, and Cost Management.
