General Manager

Doughby’s is hiring a General Manager to lead our Oxford calzone restaurant during our 30-week operating season. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can own day-to-day operations, build a reliable team, and keep service fast, friendly, and consistent.

Schedule and compensation:

• $32,000–$43,000 per year, based on experience
• 55–60 hours per week during a 30-week operating season
• Nights and weekends are required
• In-person at 36 W High St, Oxford, OH 45056

Responsibilities:

• Lead daily front- and back-of-house restaurant operations
• Recruit, train, schedule, coach, and retain team members
• Maintain high standards for food quality, speed of service, hospitality, cleanliness, and safety
• Manage inventory, ordering, receiving, prep levels, waste, and food costs
• Oversee cash handling, deposits, registers, and POS procedures
• Monitor staffing, labor costs, sales, and operating performance
• Handle customer concerns professionally and support the team during busy shifts
• Ensure compliance with food-safety requirements and company policies
• Open and close the restaurant as needed and work hands-on at any station

Qualifications:

• Restaurant management or strong shift-lead experience preferred
• Proven ability to lead and develop a team in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working long hours, including nights and weekends, during the operating season
• Dependable, accountable, and willing to lead by example
