What they need
General Manager of Operations
Two Brothers Epoxy Flooring | Phoenix, AZ
Full Time | Leadership Position | Competitive Salary + Performance Incentives
Two Brothers Epoxy Flooring is growing quickly, and we’re looking for an experienced General Manager of Operations to help lead the next stage of our company.
We currently operate approximately 7 to 8 installation crews across residential, commercial, and industrial projects throughout the Phoenix market.
We need a leader who can take ownership of our field operations, develop our people, hold teams accountable, solve problems before they become bigger problems, and make sure our customers receive the level of service and quality that our reputation has been built on.
This is not a position for someone who wants to sit behind a desk all day.
We’re looking for a leader who can manage people, manage production, make decisions, hold standards, and GET THINGS DONE.
The Mission
Your primary responsibility is simple:
Make sure our crews have what they need to execute great work, our projects stay on schedule, our customers are taken care of, and problems get solved quickly.
You will become the bridge between ownership, the office, sales, project management, and our field crews.
When something goes wrong, we don't want someone who simply reports the problem.
We want someone who owns it and solves it.
What You'll Own
You will oversee the day to day performance of approximately 7 to 8 flooring installation crews.
Responsibilities will include:
Managing and developing crew leaders and installers
Overseeing daily and weekly production schedules
Making sure crews are properly staffed for upcoming projects
Coordinating labor, materials, equipment, vehicles, and project requirements
Reviewing upcoming jobs before crews arrive on site
Ensuring crews understand scope, specifications, customer expectations, and project details
Monitoring project progress and production efficiency
Conducting jobsite visits and quality control inspections
Holding crew leaders accountable for workmanship, cleanliness, communication, and production
Helping troubleshoot difficult installations and field issues
Managing callbacks, punch lists, and warranty related concerns
Improving systems and processes that make our crews more efficient
Recruiting, training, developing, and retaining great installers
Identifying future crew leaders and helping develop them
Managing equipment, vehicles, tools, and company assets
Working closely with sales and office staff to create a smooth handoff from sold project to completed project
Protecting job profitability by controlling labor inefficiencies, unnecessary overtime, material waste, and callbacks
Maintaining a high standard of customer experience from beginning to end
This Role Is About Leadership
We aren't looking for someone to babysit crews.
We need someone who can build them.
The right person knows how to hold people accountable while still earning their respect.
You should be comfortable having difficult conversations, recognizing great performance, coaching people who need improvement, and making changes when someone consistently doesn't meet the standard.
Our crews should know exactly what is expected of them.
Our crew leaders should become better leaders because of you.
And ownership should be able to trust that when you say something is handled, it's handled.
Who We're Looking For
The ideal candidate has significant experience managing field operations in construction, specialty contracting, flooring, concrete, coatings, roofing, HVAC, plumbing, restoration, landscaping, or another high volume service business.
Experience specifically with epoxy flooring, resinous flooring, concrete coatings, or polished concrete is a major advantage, but it is not required for an exceptional operations leader.
We are looking for someone who is:
A proven leader
Extremely organized
Strong under pressure
Comfortable managing multiple crews and projects simultaneously
Excellent at communicating with both field employees and customers
Highly accountable
Proactive instead of reactive
Comfortable making decisions
Detail oriented
Able to identify inefficiencies and fix them
Comfortable using technology and management software
Experienced with scheduling and workforce planning
Focused on both quality and profitability
Capable of developing leaders underneath them
Someone who takes ownership instead of making excuses
How Success Will Be Measured
This is a results driven leadership position.
Your performance will be measured by things that actually matter:
Projects completed on schedule
Labor efficiency
Crew productivity
Gross margin protection
Material waste
Callback and warranty rates
Quality control
Customer satisfaction
Crew utilization
Employee retention
Development of crew leaders
Safety
Communication
Overall operational efficiency
The goal isn't simply to keep everyone busy.
The goal is to build an operation that runs exceptionally well.
About Two Brothers Epoxy Flooring
Two Brothers Epoxy Flooring is a fast growing specialty flooring contractor serving residential, commercial, and industrial customers throughout Arizona.
Our work includes epoxy flake systems, quartz systems, metallic epoxy, urethane cement, polished concrete, sealed concrete, moisture mitigation systems, integral cove base, and other specialty resinous flooring systems.
We have built our company around professionalism, customer experience, quality workmanship, and doing what we say we're going to do.
Now we're looking for the right leader to help us scale.
Our Culture
Our standards are straightforward:
Integrity First
Details Define Us
Customer Experience
Own It and Solve It
Composed and Positive Under Pressure
Urgency
These aren't words we want hanging on a wall.
They're how we expect our leadership team to operate.
Why This Opportunity Is Different
We're not looking for someone to maintain a finished operation.
We're looking for someone to help build one.
There is significant opportunity ahead of Two Brothers Epoxy Flooring, and this person will have a direct impact on where the company goes next.
You'll work directly with ownership and have the authority to improve processes, develop people, strengthen accountability, and build an operation capable of supporting continued growth.
If you're currently managing crews, projects, or field operations for another contractor and feel like you've hit your ceiling, we want to talk.
If you're the person everyone calls when something goes sideways because they know you'll figure it out, we want to talk.
And if you look at 7 to 8 crews and immediately start thinking about how you could make them safer, faster, more organized, more accountable, and more profitable...
We definitely want to talk.
Apply
Send us your resume and tell us about the largest field operation you've personally managed.
How many crews or employees were you responsible for?
What did you improve?
What numbers were you accountable for?
And most importantly:
What would your previous crews say about you as a leader?
We are looking for the right person, not simply the first person.
