General Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic General Manager to lead our retail operations with enthusiasm and expertise. Duties

• Lead and manage all aspects of store operations, including sales, customer service, inventory control, and staff supervision
• Develop and implement strategic plans to meet sales targets and enhance store performance
• Recruit, interview, train, and develop team members to ensure high standards of employee orientation and ongoing training & development
• Oversee payroll processing, bookkeeping, cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) systems to maintain accurate financial records
• Manage purchasing decisions, pricing strategies, merchandising, stocking, and inventory management to maximize profitability
• Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide managerial communication feedback, and foster a positive team environment
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, store policies, and operational procedures while maintaining excellent customer service standards

Skills

• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence vendors and team members effectively
• Bilingual or multilingual abilities to serve diverse customer bases and facilitate team communication
• Extensive experience in retail industry sales team management and retail sales strategies
• Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling procedures, bookkeeping, payroll processing, and inventory management software
• Demonstrated leadership in supervising teams within retail or grocery store environments with shift management experience
• Excellent organizational skills combined with time management capabilities to handle multiple priorities efficiently
• Effective communication skills for training staff, managing conflict resolution, and engaging with customers
• Knowledge of retail math including pricing calculations, sales analysis, budgeting, and basic math skills
• Experience in merchandising, stock replenishment, inventory control, and operational management to optimize store performance

Pay: $66,000.00 - $94,000.00 per year
