General Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the hotel to ensure excellent guest service, operational efficiency, and profitability.
• Supervise all hotel departments, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Maintenance, Security, Human Resources, Finance, and Sales & Marketing.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase occupancy, revenue, profitability, and guest satisfaction.
• Monitor budgets, financial performance, and operational costs to achieve business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with hotel policies, health, safety, and statutory regulations.
• Coordinate departmental activities to ensure smooth hotel operations and successful events.
• Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, government agencies, and business partners.
• Lead, mentor, and evaluate departmental managers and staff to maintain high performance standards.
• Handle major guest concerns professionally and ensure service excellence.
• Monitor hotel facilities and ensure high standards of cleanliness, maintenance, and overall quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Hotel Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years' proven experience in hotel operations, with at least 3 years in a senior management role.
• Previous work experience in a 3-star hotel or higher is required.
• Strong leadership, financial management, and business development skills.
• Good knowledge of hotel operations, budgeting, customer service, and revenue management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Hotel Property Management Systems (PMS).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.
• Professional certification in Hospitality Management is an added advantage.
• Must have worked in Abuja.
