General Manager

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented General Manager to oversee and coordinate the company's Purchase, Finance & Accounts, Manufacturing, and Sales functions. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, effective coordination between departments, cost control, production planning, business growth, and achievement of organizational targets.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
• MBA/PGDM will be an added advantage.
• 10–15+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing/industrial organizations.
• Strong knowledge of Purchase, Finance & Accounts, Production/Manufacturing, and Sales.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong understanding of cost control, budgeting, inventory, and working capital.
• Good communication and team-management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP/MIS, and business reporting.
• Ability to manage multiple departments and work under business pressure.

Keys & Responsibilities:

1.Purchase & Procurement

• Oversee the complete purchase and procurement activities.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial conditions.
• Ensure timely availability of raw materials and components as per production requirements.
• Monitor purchase costs, inventory levels, and vendor performance.
• Ensure proper purchase planning and cost optimization.

2. Finance & Accounts

• Supervise the Finance & Accounts department and ensure proper financial control.
• Monitor cash flow, receivables, payables, expenses, and working capital.
• Review budgets, financial statements, MIS reports, and management reports.
• Coordinate with auditors, banks, consultants, and statutory authorities.
• Ensure timely payments, collections, and financial planning.
• Monitor overall departmental expenses and profitability.

3. Manufacturing & Production

• Oversee manufacturing operations and ensure production targets are achieved.
• Monitor production planning, manpower utilization, material availability, and delivery schedules.
• Ensure quality standards and production efficiency are maintained.
• Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective measures.
• Coordinate with Purchase, Stores, Quality, Maintenance, and Production teams.
• Focus on reducing wastage, production costs, and downtime.

4. Sales & Business Development

• Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and business targets.
• Monitor sales performance, customer requirements, quotations, orders, and collections.
• Develop relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Identify new business opportunities and market segments.
• Coordinate with the sales team to improve order conversion and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor sales forecasts, order pipeline, and overall business performance.

5. Overall Management

• Ensure effective coordination between Purchase, Finance, Manufacturing, and Sales departments.
• Set departmental targets and monitor performance against business objectives.
• Review MIS and operational reports and take timely corrective actions.
• Improve operational efficiency and control overall business costs.
• Lead and motivate departmental heads and ensure accountability.
• Report business performance and key operational matters to the top management.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable statutory requirements.

Pay: From ₹175,000.00 per month
