Opened in October 2024, Homewood Brewing Co. is a thriving brewpub located in the heart of Homewood, IL. With an 18,000+ square foot facility featuring a full-service restaurant, in-house brewery, rooftop garden, outdoor patios, and a vibrant event space, we’ve quickly become a cornerstone of the community. JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead our team. Our ideal candidate will bring a passion for craft beer and chef-driven pub fare, along with a dedication to creating an exceptional hospitality experience for guests while supporting a strong team culture.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, and supervise a diverse team of staff, ensuring high performance and adherence to company standards.
• Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, emphasizing teamwork and high-quality customer service.
• Lead and develop department managers across front-of-house, kitchen, and events.
• Oversee scheduling and labor management to ensure efficient staffing levels.
• Develop and enforce standard operating procedures for all areas including service, kitchen, and administrative operations.
• Manage daily operations, ensuring the brewpub runs smoothly and efficiently.
• Engage regularly with customers, enhancing their experience and fostering repeat business.
• Oversee financial management, including payroll, budgeting, cost analysis, and financial reporting.
• Implement effective cost-control measures and pricing strategies to boost profitability.
• Maintain strong relationships with vendors and oversee purchasing and inventory controls.
• Support marketing initiatives and community engagement efforts.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
• Partner with ownership and brewery leadership on strategic planning and business growth.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a General Manager or similar leadership role in the restaurant industry (3-5 years minimum).
• Comprehensive knowledge of restaurant operations, both front-of-house and back-of-house.
• Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to inspire and manage a diverse team.
• Exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in financial management, including budgeting and cost control.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to the restaurant industry.
• Proficient computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office, strongly desired.
• Experience in a brewpub, craft brewery taproom, or hospitality venue with events is strongly preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
