General Manager

About the Position

Briardale Property Group is seeking an experienced and motivated General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our growing property management company.

The General Manager will play a key leadership role in overseeing property operations, staff, maintenance, leasing, tenant relations, and overall company performance. This position requires a strong leader who is organized, accountable, solutions-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the property management company.
• Manage, support, and hold staff accountable for their assigned responsibilities.
• Oversee property managers, leasing, maintenance, cleaning, and administrative operations.
• Ensure properties are maintained to Briardale Property Group's standards.
• Monitor tenant concerns, service requests, complaints, and escalated issues.
• Ensure maintenance requests and property issues are handled efficiently.
• Oversee leasing activity, vacancies, showings, applications, and tenant turnover.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and service providers.
• Monitor operating expenses and help maintain effective cost controls.
• Ensure company policies and procedures are followed.
• Conduct regular property and operational inspections.
• Identify operational issues and implement solutions.
• Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
• Track key operational performance indicators and provide regular updates to the President.
• Maintain strong communication between departments and ensure responsibilities are clearly assigned.
• Assist with implementing new systems, processes, and procedures as the company continues to grow.
• Represent Briardale Property Group professionally with tenants, owners, employees, contractors, and business partners.
• Perform other management duties as required.

What We Are Looking For

• Previous management or leadership experience.
• Experience in property management, real estate, construction, hospitality, or a related industry is an asset.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple properties, employees, and priorities simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to hold employees and contractors accountable while maintaining a professional working environment.
• Strong customer service and tenant-relations skills.
• Comfortable working independently and taking initiative.
• Proficient with computers, email, and common office software.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
