Role & responsibilities

Motivating a large hotel team to deliver service standards.

• Driving a sales and marketing strategy
• Draw up monthly revenue and cost budgets for discussion with owners, and achieving them. Carry out costs savings activities.
• Closely monitor the hotels business reports on a daily basis and take decisions accordingly.
• Networking at dinners and functions.
• Ensure control on all aspects that affect profitability, including food costs, room rates, collections etc.
• Coordinate with service and maintenance teams to ensure top class Guest experience on a day to day basis
• Hold regular meetings/briefings with all departments and communicate effectively what is needed.
• Understand training needs and ensure staffs are well trained.
• Coordinate with HOD's for the execution of all activities and functions.
• Be accountable for responsibilities of department heads and take ownership of all guest complaints.
• Ensure proper systems for stock control and proper price control over purchases.
• Make reports as per management requirements
• Make proper budgets and ensure P&L as per budget

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor in Hotel management
• 15-20 years experience in Hotel operations ,with at least 5 years at GM level
• Able to manage Hotel operations with minimum supervision
• Knowledgeable in all areas on Hotel operations
