General Manager, LOCKES Clapham Junction

£36,000 to £40,000 base plus tronc and bonus.

OTE £55,000 to £60,000 including tronc and bonus.

A route to multi-site manager.

This is a hands-on General Manager role. The team is small, so you will be behind the bar and on the floor, leading every busy shift from the front. The opportunity is big: the venue has real room to grow sales, and we want a GM who will go and get it.

It is also a stepping stone. We are looking for someone who wants to become a multi-site manager, and we will agree a written plan to get you there.

What you will do

• Run the venue day to day and lead service on the busiest shifts
• Own the sales target and build midweek trade, parties and corporate bookings
• Recruit, train and retain a high performing team
• Control labour, stock, gross profit and site profit
• Keep standards, licensing and safety spot on
• Take on projects across the business as you develop

What we are looking for

• Experience running a busy bar or restaurant, as GM or a strong AGM ready to step up
• A hands-on leader who works the shift, not the office
• A record of growing sales, with the numbers to prove it
• A solid grasp of P&L, labour and stock
• A personal licence
• The ambition to run more than one site

What you get

• £36,000 to £40,000 base salary, depending on experience, plus a share of tronc, typically around £12,000 a year
• Quarterly bonus weighted towards sales growth, taking on-target earnings to £55,000 to £60,000 with tronc
• A written development plan towards multi-site manager, reviewed at 12 months
