General Manager

The General Manager (GM) will serve as the primary strategic and operational leader for 5 Team Carpentry and Flooring LLC. The GM is responsible for steering the company’s overall business growth, managing day-to-day operations across the Ras Al Khor warehouse facility, overseeing large-scale event production, custom exhibition fabrication, and fit-out contracts. The ideal candidate will combine strong business acumen with deep technical knowledge of carpentry, joinery, event logistics, and workshop management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operational & Facility Management

Oversee all daily operations at the Ras Al Khor warehouse facility, ensuring high productivity, efficient workflow between the carpentry workshop and project sites, and strict adherence to timelines.

Maintain rigorous health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards across the workshop and active event/exhibition sites in compliance with UAE regulations and Dubai Municipality guidelines.

Optimize supply chain management, material sourcing (timber, flooring, finishes), equipment maintenance, and inventory tracking.

2. Business Growth & Strategic Leadership

Drive commercial profitability by securing high-value contracts for corporate events, brand activations, exhibition stands, and interior fit-outs.

Build and nurture strong, lasting relationships with event agencies, corporate clients, and key suppliers in the UAE market.

Spearhead business development initiatives to expand market share in the regional event production and bespoke joinery sectors.

3. Project Execution & Quality Control

Ensure flawless execution of complex event builds, stage setups, custom furniture production, and interactive brand spaces from concept to live execution.

Enforce strict quality control standards for all carpentry, flooring, and finishing works leaving the Ras Al Khor workshop.

Troubleshoot critical site/operational bottlenecks and resolve client or contractor challenges swiftly.

4. Financial & Resource Management

Develop and manage the annual operational budget, P&L statements, cash flow forecasting, and capital expenditure plans.

Monitor project cost estimates, labor allocations, and material wastages to maximize project-level and overall company margins.

Oversee procurement processes, contract negotiations with vendors, and financial reporting.

5. Team Leadership & Culture

Lead, mentor, and structure a diverse team comprising project managers, workshop supervisors, carpenters, joinery technicians, and administrative staff.

Foster a culture of craftsmanship, accountability, punctuality, and safety across the workshop floor and field execution teams.

Oversee workforce planning, performance evaluations, and training initiatives.

Requirements & Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum 10 years of professional experience, with at least 4–5 years in a Senior Management or General Manager role within an event fabrication, exhibition contracting, interior fit-out, or commercial joinery company in the UAE.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. (Equivalent trade/technical certifications paired with exceptional experience will be considered).

Industry Knowledge: Hands-on understanding of timber joinery, custom carpentry, flooring installations, event logistics, and exhibition stand fabrication workflows.

Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with Dubai's event spaces, exhibition venues (e.g., Dubai World Trade Centre), free zone regulations, and local safety compliance.

Skills:

Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and cross-functional communication abilities.

Strong financial literacy and experience managing P&L for manufacturing/contracting entities.

Proficiency in project management and ERP software.

Licensing: Valid UAE Driving License is strongly preferred.

Pay: AED10,000.00 - AED15,000.00 per month
