General Manager

About the role

General Manager who leads the entire company and reports directly to the Board of Directors at PT Dunia Kido Indonesia, a mother and baby product distribution company in Indonesia with networks spanning General Trade, Modern Trade, and online channels including Shopee, Tokopedia, and TikTok.

Key responsibilities

• Responsible for achieving sales and profit targets agreed with the Board of Directors, and preparing annual work plans and budgets
• Set pricing structure for each brand and channel, ensure healthy product margins, and decide on price adjustments when purchasing costs or channel costs change
• Determine the mix between distributors, Modern Trade, and marketplaces, including decisions on promotional programs, affiliate commissions, and advertising costs based on margin calculations
• Lead negotiations of distributor agreements, trade programs, and dispute resolution; maintain relationships with factories and principals domestically and internationally, including purchase price negotiations
• Lead sales, operational, and financial functions; build organizational structure, set performance metrics, and develop team capabilities
• Ensure the company operates on a trusted data source, financial reports reflect actual conditions, and tax obligations and licensing requirements are met
• Deliver monthly performance analysis with recommendations to the Board of Directors and raise issues early

About you

• Minimum 8 years of experience in FMCG or distribution, with at least 3 years leading more than one function
• Able to read financial reports and identify discrepancies independently; understand cost of goods calculations, import landed costs, and per-product margin analysis
• Proven track record managing distributors and Modern Trade in Indonesia
• Understand marketplace channel economics: fee structures, promotional programs, and impact on margins
• Proficient in ERP systems; Odoo experience is a significant advantage
• Integrity, comfortable delivering bad news to the Board of Directors, and accustomed to making decisions based on data
• Able to communicate in Indonesian and English; Mandarin Chinese is an advantage
• Master Degree
