General Manager

About the role

You will be the senior operating leader of RIMEDYNE, turning the Founder's vision into daily execution. You will run the factory and the business to a world-class standard — safe, on time, at the right cost and at the highest quality — while serving our American customers with excellence and building a culture of initiative. You will keep the Founder informed wherever he is in the world and protect the interests of our investors.

Key responsibilities

• Live and enforce the company culture; make initiative and ownership the normal way of working at every level.
• Build a strong management team with clear roles, KPIs and accountability.
• Own production output, on-time delivery, cost, quality and safety for the Perai factory.
• Improve the sheet-metal, welding, moulding and assembly processes through Lean, 6S and continuous improvement.
• Run the quality system (ISO 9001 or equivalent): NCR/CAPA, calibration, supplier quality and documentation.
• Manage purchasing, inventory and suppliers for compressors, fans, refrigerant components, thermoelectric modules, electronics and steel.
• Be the main operational contact for our customers in the United States: orders, delivery schedules, technical questions and quality issues.
• Own the P&L, budget and cash flow.
• Provide the Founder with daily highlights and a weekly KPI dashboard, and stay reachable wherever he is.
• Keep the factory fully compliant with OSHA 1994 (as amended), PPE and safety standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering from a recognised university.
• Minimum 12 years in manufacturing, of which at least 5 years as General Manager, Plant Manager, Factory Manager or Operations Director.
• Full P&L responsibility for a manufacturing business or plant.
• Direct experience in sheet-metal fabrication and assembly of electro-mechanical products or industrial equipment.
• Leading multi-disciplinary teams of 30+ people across production, engineering, quality, purchasing, logistics and admin.
• Running or maintaining an ISO 9001 quality system, including external certification audits.
• Direct, regular communication with American or other international customers — handling orders, technical issues and complaints professionally.
• Managing a Malaysian manufacturing workforce, including HR, discipline and compliance.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• A self-starter who acts without being chased; obsessed with quality and detail; honest and direct; calm under pressure and decisive.

About us

RIMEDYNE is a Malaysian manufacturer of enclosure cooling systems that protect the electronics running factories, telecom networks, power systems and automation equipment. Our core products are compressor-based (gas compression) enclosure air conditioners, air-to-air heat exchangers, and thermoelectric (Peltier) cooling modules. We make our products in-house at our Perai factory, with stamping, laser cutting, press braking, drilling, spot welding, molding, adhesive/gluing and crane-handled assembly under one roof.
