General Manager

RETS Associates has been retained by a well-known institutional real estate owner on a highly selective search for a General Manager to lead a major Class A office asset (500K SF+) in San Francisco . This is not a step-up opportunity. Our client is seeking a proven, “sure thing” candidate who has already held the GM title on a significant San Francisco office asset and has direct experience opening or transitioning a major office development, or overseeing a significant capital improvement/repositioning program ($40M+).

The GM will serve as the senior on-site leader with responsibility for property operations, financial performance, tenant experience, and team leadership. This individual will partner closely with Construction & Development, Asset Management, Leasing, and third-party service providers to coordinate a major capital improvement program within an occupied building while maintaining a first-class tenant experience.

Requirements

• 7–10+ years of commercial property management experience with significant Class A high-rise office experience
• Experience managing premier or trophy office assets in San Francisco, including repositioning or major renovation initiatives or opening a new office development
• Direct experience coordinating significant capital projects within an occupied building
• Proven ability to lead on-site teams and manage third-party service providers
• Strong tenant relations and customer-service orientation with experience supporting hospitality or tenant engagement initiatives
• Ability to collaborate across construction, leasing, asset management, engineering, and operations teams
• Strong executive presence and communication skills with the ability to represent ownership with tenants, brokers, vendors, and other stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
• California real estate license or ability to obtain one as required
• This role is 5 days in office

Compensation**: $185K–$235K base salary plus 20%+ target bonus and comprehensive benefits.
