About The Lively Hotel on OAK…

Located in the heart of Oklahoma City’s vibrant OAK district, The Lively Hotel on OAK, Tapestry Collection by Hilton is a 132-room boutique lifestyle hotel designed to be as distinctive and dynamic as the community that surrounds it.

As Oklahoma’s first Tapestry Collection by Hilton hotel, The Lively blends modern design, curated art, local character, elevated food and beverage, and genuine hospitality to create an experience that feels unmistakably connected to Oklahoma City.

The hotel serves as a gathering place within OAK, a walkable mixed-use destination bringing together hospitality, restaurants, shopping, public art, green space, residences, and entertainment. The Lively features thoughtfully designed guest rooms and suites, indoor and outdoor event spaces, a heated outdoor pool and amenity deck, fitness center, and Cloud Puncher Rooftop Bar & Restaurant, offering elevated dining and views overlooking the surrounding district.

This is more than an opportunity to lead a hotel. It is an opportunity to lead a distinctive lifestyle property and position The Lively as a destination for both travelers and the Oklahoma City community.

About this job…

The General Manager is the strategic, operational, and cultural leader of The Lively Hotel on OAK, responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences, strong financial performance, and an engaging environment for associates.

The General Manager oversees all aspects of hotel operations, including Rooms, Food & Beverage, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, and Maintenance/Engineering. This leader sets the tone for the property with an unwavering emphasis on guest satisfaction, associate engagement, accountability, commercial performance, and the unique personality of The Lively.

Tasked with cultivating a best-in-class team, the General Manager leads the hiring, development, coaching, and retention of hotel associates and leaders. This position also serves as a key commercial leader for the property, driving revenue and profitability through oversight of the on-property sales and commercial efforts and strong partnerships with First Hospitality’s Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Management teams.

The successful General Manager will embrace the entrepreneurial spirit of a lifestyle hotel while leveraging the strength of Hilton and First Hospitality. This leader will connect The Lively to the energy of OAK and the greater Oklahoma City community, creating a hotel that locals want to frequent, guests want to return to, and associates are proud to represent.

What you’ll be doing…

  • Lead The Lively & Build the Culture
  • Provide strategic leadership and day-to-day direction for all hotel operations.
  • Hire, train, develop, coach, and motivate a high-performing hotel leadership team and associate population.
  • Establish a culture that reflects the personality of The Lively while aligning with First Hospitality and Hilton values and expectations.
  • Lead through personal example with a highly visible, approachable presence throughout the hotel.
  • Create an environment where associates feel empowered to make decisions that positively impact the guest experience.
  • Promote a diverse and inclusive environment for all hotel guests and associates while fostering collaboration, recognition, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Inspire hotel leaders to uphold the culture and standards of First Hospitality, The Lively, and Hilton.
  • Communicate effectively across departments to ensure associates have the resources, information, and tools necessary to perform at their best.

Create an Experience That Is Unmistakably Lively

  • Serve as the hotel’s chief ambassador and bring the personality and story of The Lively to life through every aspect of the guest experience.
  • Celebrate the hotel’s connection to Oklahoma City, the OAK district, local art, design, culture, and community.
  • Ensure the hotel delivers the individuality expected of a Tapestry Collection property while maintaining Hilton brand standards.
  • Proactively address guest concerns and identify opportunities to enhance amenities, programming, service offerings, and the overall guest journey.

  • Maintain a strong commercial mindset and actively participate in sales, revenue management, marketing, and positioning strategies.
  • Drive opportunities across Rooms, Food & Beverage, rooftop dining, meetings and events, social business, and other hotel experiences.
  • Position The Lively as both a compelling destination for Oklahoma City visitors and a gathering place for the local community.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive performance, guest segmentation, and hotel performance data to identify new opportunities.
  • Control purchasing and operating expenses while maintaining service levels and protecting the guest experience.
  • Develop and execute annual business plans designed to achieve revenue, profitability, guest satisfaction, and associate engagement goals.

Be a Champion for The Lively & Oklahoma City

  • Build meaningful relationships with local businesses, community organizations, tourism partners, corporate clients, and other Oklahoma City stakeholders.
  • Serve as an active and visible ambassador for The Lively within the OAK district and greater Oklahoma City market.
  • Collaborate with neighboring OAK restaurants, retailers, businesses, and community partners to create opportunities that enhance the guest experience and strengthen the hotel’s local presence.

  • Identify opportunities to make The Lively and Cloud Puncher destinations for local residents as well as hotel guests.
  • Maintain awareness of Oklahoma City market dynamics, competitive activity, development, events, and emerging hospitality trends.

Protect the Hotel & Brand

  • Ensure compliance with Hilton brand standards, First Hospitality policies, applicable laws, and health and safety requirements.
  • Know, maintain, and communicate hotel emergency procedures and provide leadership to guests and associates during emergency situations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with ownership, Hilton, First Hospitality leadership, vendors, and business partners.
