General Manager

About the role

Transform a well-established heritage brand into a modern, highly profitable, scale-oriented organization. You will oversee operations, establish a dedicated marketing function, expand market reach, and optimize in-house production.

Key responsibilities

• Set strategy, KPIs, and budgets; report performance to owners; align admin, sales, and production teams.
• Grow residential and institutional channels; build strategic networks with architects, interior designers, developers, and contractors.
• Lead marketing initiatives, overhaul digital and social channels, upgrade catalogues and showrooms, and spearhead lead-generation efforts.
• Partner with the Production Manager to enhance quality control, solve bottlenecks, optimize inventory, and streamline shop-floor efficiency.
• Drive profitability, margin management, and cost control; recruit, mentor, and foster a high-performance culture across all departments.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 8–15+ years of relevant experience, with proven success leading an SME in manufacturing, production, or retail.
• Strong P&L and financial management capability.
• Business development capability and operational oversight.
• Hands-on team leadership experience.
• Industry background in luxury home furnishings, interior design, architecture, or lighting (preferred).
• Existing network of architects, interior designers, and commercial project developers (preferred).
• Track record of building marketing functions, running digital acquisition channels, or managing custom product lines (preferred).
