General Manager

Job Summary:

As a General Manager, you will manage the activity in your assigned facility in a manner that maximizes productivity, meets customer requirements, minimizes costs and promotes a safe working environment in accordance with company policy.

Essential Functions:

• Review the development of plant wide budgets and follow-up on variance from actual activity.
• Prepare capital expenditure plan for facility and review equipment justifications.
• Direct prepress manufacturing to meet customer and company expectations.
• Establish quality target goals for prepress departments.
• Participate with cross functional task teams.
• Ensure all safety and work rules and regulations are followed.
• Monitor planning team activity.
• Interact with yearbook customer service to determine customer requirements.
• Communicate with departments throughout the corporation as needed.
• Communicate with customers and sales representatives as needed.
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.

• Must communicate appropriate information accurately and clearly as needed.
• Demonstrated advanced proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Windows based databases.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Business, Finance or a related field and ten years experience in print manufacturing OR
• Associate degree in Business, Finance or a related field and twelve years experience in print manufacturing
