General Manager

Managing Director / SVP – Grocery & Retail Technology, Baltics

Location: Vilnius, Lithuania

We are recruiting on behalf of an established international retail technology business seeking a senior leader for its operations across Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.

The company provides software, hardware and services to retailers, particularly grocers, including self-checkout, self-service, retail software and in-store automation.

This is about taking ownership of a successful business and leading its next stage of growth.

The Baltic operation generates approximately €30m in revenue, employs around 170 people and has strong customer relationships, an established management team and high employee engagement.

The challenge is to build on what's already working, develop new growth opportunities and strengthen collaboration with the wider international Group.

The Role

You'll be responsible for:

• Overall leadership of the Baltic business, including full P&L ownership
• Commercial and operational performance across the three countries
• Leading and developing the existing management team
• Growing existing accounts and developing new business
• Introducing more of the Group's technology and solutions into the Baltic market
• Sharing successful Baltic solutions across the wider Group

What We're Looking For

1. International Experience

Experience working across countries and cultures, ideally within an international technology Group. Strong English and the ability to work effectively with both local teams and international leadership are essential.

2. People Leadership

This is a people-led appointment. You'll inherit a successful, highly engaged organisation, so the ability to build trust, develop people and lead collaboratively is important.

We're looking for someone who understands when to make changes and, equally, when to leave things that are working well alone.

3. Proven Business Leadership at Scale

You must have experience leading a substantial business, country operation or region, including:

• Full P&L responsibility, ideally €20m+ revenue
• Leadership of sizeable, multi-functional teams, ideally 100+ people
• Both commercial and operational accountability
• A track record of sustainable business growth
• Experience operating within an international business

We're looking for someone who has managed a business, not simply led a sales function.

Your Background

You may currently be a Managing Director, Country Manager, Regional Leader or senior business unit leader.

The priority is an experienced leader from an international technology or solutions business with the scale, commercial experience and people leadership to run a €30m operation.

Experience in grocery/retail technology would be an advantage, but is not essential. We are equally interested in leaders from software, IT solutions, automation and related technology businesses.

The role will ideally be based in Vilnius, Lithuania.
