This is a high-impact leadership role with responsibility for driving growth, expanding markets, and shaping the long-term development of a multi-sector industrial hub. The site is positioned to support aggregates production, marine export, offshore wind manufacturing, and concrete production, making it a key player in the UK’s energy transition.
You’ll oversee both strategic direction and day-to-day operational performance, while acting as the primary liaison with the board of Kishorn Port Ltd (KPL).

- Identify and secure new market opportunities, partnerships, and investment
- Lead revenue growth, asset utilisation, and return on investment
- Position the site as a key offshore wind hub and oversee industrial development projects
- Support investment in port infrastructure, facilities, and operational capabilities
- Use market insights to guide pricing, capacity, and diversification
- Provide executive oversight of port operations and ensure safe, efficient, compliant performance
- Liaise with directors and optimise logistics, shipping, and marine operations
- Build and manage relationships with government, regulators, and key stakeholders
- Lead negotiations on major contracts, leases, and partnerships
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and business plans
- Monitor performance and KPIs across all operations and report to senior leadership
- Ensure environmental, planning, and HSE compliance
- Promote sustainability and support decarbonisation initiatives
About You:
- Degree in Business, Engineering, Maritime, Logistics, or similar (MBA desirable)
- 8–10+ years in senior leadership within heavy industry, ports, logistics, or energy infrastructure
- Proven track record in business development and industrial growth
- Strong knowledge of quarrying, port operations, and marine logistics
- Experience managing senior stakeholders and board-level relationships
- Demonstrated success delivering large-scale capital or infrastructure projects
Key Skills
- Strategic thinking and leadership
- Strong commercial and financial acumen
- High-level stakeholder engagement
- Negotiation and partnership building
- Operational leadership in industrial environments
- Market insight across construction materials and energy sectors
- Strong governance and regulatory awareness
Why Join?
This is a rare opportunity to lead the transformation of a major industrial site at the heart of the UK’s offshore wind supply chain, with significant scope for growth, investment, and long-term impact.
