What they need

Company Description Casaléna is a premier restaurant and events destination in the West Valley, offering guests an elevated coastal Mediterranean experience. The menu highlights seasonal, high-quality ingredients and thoughtful preparation, appealing to guests seeking both refined dining and memorable social experiences. Visitors can enjoy intimate dinners on the outdoor sunken patio or relax with late-night cocktails in a vibrant yet sophisticated atmosphere. Casaléna is designed to transport guests to their favorite European locales, creating a distinctive setting for both everyday dining and special events.

Role Description The General Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of the restaurant and events space, ensuring a consistently high standard of guest service, food quality, and ambiance. This full-time, hybrid role is based in the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area, with on-site leadership as the primary focus and some flexibility for work-from-home tasks such as reporting, scheduling, and administrative duties. Daily responsibilities include managing front-of-house and back-of-house teams, supervising service flow, coordinating with the culinary and bar teams, and monitoring reservations and event logistics. The General Manager will handle budgeting, inventory oversight, vendor relationships, and compliance with health, safety, and labor regulations. The role also involves coaching team members, addressing guest feedback, supporting hiring and training, and contributing to marketing initiatives and community engagement to grow the Casaléna brand.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in restaurant or hospitality management, including supervision of front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
  • Strong leadership, team-building, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse staff.
  • Proficiency in budgeting, scheduling, inventory control, and use of POS or restaurant management systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with guests, staff, vendors, and partners.
  • Proven ability to manage events and high-volume service while maintaining quality and guest satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of food safety, alcohol service regulations, and workplace health and safety standards.
  • Experience with basic marketing and brand-building activities, such as social media collaboration, local partnerships, or promotions.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by restaurant and event operations.
  • Familiarity with Mediterranean or upscale dining concepts is preferred; prior experience in the Los Angeles hospitality market is a plus.
  • Relevant education in hospitality management, business, or a related field is beneficial but not required with strong experience.
