General Manager

• Oversee the day-to-day operation and management of the student accommodation site.
• Manage, supervise, and coordinate on-site staff and external contractors.
• Ensure the building, bedrooms, communal areas, and facilities are clean, safe, and well maintained.
• Oversee cleaning, repairs, maintenance, and property inspections.
• Handle student enquiries, complaints, and day-to-day issues professionally.
• Coordinate student check-ins, check-outs, room allocations, and room readiness.
• Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety, fire safety, and property regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, maintenance, and compliance documentation.
• Monitor occupancy levels, room availability, and rent arrears.
• Manage operational budgets, supplier contracts, purchasing, and expenditure.
• Ensure staff follow company policies and maintain high service standards.
• Build positive relationships with students, staff, contractors, and university representatives where applicable.
• Identify operational problems and implement effective solutions.
• Prepare regular reports on property performance, maintenance, complaints, and expenditure.
• Plan and coordinate activities for student arrivals, departures, and the start of each academic year.
• Report significant issues and performance updates directly to the leadership team.
• Ensure the accommodation operates efficiently while providing a safe and positive student experience.

Pay: From £26,400.00 per year
