General Manager

Role Description The General Manager is a full-time, on-site position located in Omaha, NE, responsible for overseeing daily operations of the swim school. This role manages staff scheduling, training, and performance, ensuring that instructors and front desk team members deliver safe, high-quality service and an excellent guest experience. The General Manager monitors enrollment, class capacity, and facility cleanliness, and ensures adherence to safety, health, and operational standards. They support local marketing initiatives, community partnerships, and sales activities to grow membership and revenue. The General Manager also handles budgeting, reporting, and customer feedback, resolving concerns promptly and maintaining a welcoming, family-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Leadership and team management skills, including experience supervising, coaching, and developing staff in a customer-facing environment.
• Operational management skills, such as scheduling, resource planning, basic budgeting, and maintaining facility standards.
• Customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with families, handle concerns, and communicate clearly in person and in writing.
• Sales and local marketing skills, including comfort with promoting programs, managing memberships, and supporting community outreach activities.
• Organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Experience in childcare, education, sports, recreation, or hospitality environments is beneficial; prior swim school or aquatic facility experience is a plus.
• Ability to work on-site in Omaha, NE, including evenings and weekends as needed; capability to stand, walk, and move around the facility for extended periods.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in business, management, or recreation is preferred.
