GENERAL MANAGER

Griswold Home Care for Greensburg is seeking an entrepreneurial General Manager to lead the day-to-day performance and growth of our Westmoreland County operation. We provide compassionate nonmedical home care to older adults, veterans, and families. We want a proactive, accountable leader who can run an operation independently, build a strong caregiver team, and create a dependable client experience.

This is not an office coordinator role. You will be the primary operational leader for the market, report directly to the local owners, supervise caregivers, and coordinate with a full-time virtual assistant who supports scheduling and recruiting administration.

What you will be accountable for

• Own Westmoreland County operating results: client experience, service delivery, staffing reliability, local revenue growth, and controllable operating performance.
• Recruit, select, onboard, coach, and retain excellent caregivers; handle performance concerns with fairness and urgency.
• Direct scheduling priorities, coverage solutions, caregiver matching, client onboarding, and recovery from service problems.
• Build and execute a practical quarterly growth plan focused on client retention, referral relationships, caregiver capacity, and profitable weekly service hours.
• Use financial and operating dashboards to identify trends, manage controllable expenses, and recommend corrective action.
• Direct the virtual assistant’s daily work priorities and monitor accuracy, follow-through, and responsiveness.
• Make routine operational decisions independently within agreed policies, budgets, and authority limits; promptly escalate high-risk situations.

The leader we are looking for

• Proven leadership in nonmedical home care, senior services, staffing, healthcare support, or a similarly complex people-centered service business; home care management is strongly preferred.
• A track record of improving measurable business outcomes, not simply managing activities.
• Confidence with recruiting, workforce management, difficult conversations, service recovery, and operational problem-solving.
• Business judgment, strong follow-through, comfort with metrics, and an owner’s mindset.
• Able to work primarily in Greensburg and participate in a clearly defined urgent-issue coverage and escalation arrangement; WellSky experience is a plus.

Compensation and how to apply

Base salary is $58,000 to $65,000, depending on relevant leadership experience and results. Eligible candidates may be offered an annual performance incentive opportunity of up to $8,000 under a separate written plan. Benefits and all employment terms will be discussed during the hiring process.
