General Manager

**Solas Energy is seeking an experienced and results-driven General Manager to lead our business operations, drive commercial growth, and oversee the delivery of renewable energy projects across Oman.

We are looking for a dynamic professional who combines strong business leadership with technical expertise in solar energy and a solid understanding of the Omani market.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead overall business operations, strategy execution, and team management.

• Drive business development, secure new projects, and manage key client relationships.

• Oversee solar EPC projects, including engineering, procurement, installation, and commissioning.

• Review technical proposals, commercial quotations, and project budgets.

• Manage financial performance, operational efficiency, and project profitability.

• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, technical standards, and quality requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a related field.

• Preferably 7–10 years of experience, with substantial exposure to solar EPC projects.

• Proven business management and leadership experience in Oman’s renewable energy sector.

• DCRP certification/registration or completion of the qualifications required for registration.

• Strong commercial, financial, technical, and project management capabilities.

• Demonstrated ability to independently lead teams and manage business operations.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

PMP certification and previous experience managing a solar EPC business are advantages.**

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain client and partner relationships.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree (MBA or similar) is an advantage.
• Understanding of solar energy solutions or broader energy sector trends; experience in the Oman or GCC market is highly beneficial.
• High level of integrity, problem-solving ability, and results-driven mindset, with readiness to work on-site in Muscat.
