PetWellClinic is seeking a hands-on General Manager to oversee our three New Jersey walk-in veterinary clinics. We’re looking for a strong people leader who enjoys developing employees, building community relationships, and keeping daily operations organized.

Working closely with our Vice President of Operations, you will support our doctors and clinic teams while creating a consistent, welcoming experience for clients and their pets.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations across all three locations, traveling between clinics as needed.
• Coach and develop employees through regular observations, feedback, monthly one-to-ones, and team meetings.
• Coordinate staff and doctor schedules, address coverage needs, and support efficient clinic workflow.
• Manage onboarding and training, set clear expectations, and follow through on performance concerns.
• Monitor revenue, staffing, inventory, and operational performance; identify opportunities for improvement.
• Maintain consistent cleanliness, service, and operational standards.
• Address client concerns professionally and support clear communication between doctors, staff, and leadership.
• Coordinate payroll preparation and maintain accurate operational records.
• Develop and maintain community partnerships with local businesses, pet professionals, and organizations to strengthen referrals and clinic visibility.
• Manage local marketing efforts carried out by the team, including neighborhood outreach, events, and referral initiatives. Assign responsibilities, track completion, and evaluate results.
• Lead the team’s social media efforts, including planning posts, gathering photos and content, and ensuring consistent messaging across all three clinics.
• Coordinate email outreach to clients, including educational content, clinic updates, promotions, and reminders that encourage ongoing care and return visits.
• Support preventative care education and use of our online pharmacy.
• Provide clear daily updates on completed priorities, outstanding issues, and support needed.

What we’re looking for

• Experience managing teams and daily business operations; experience overseeing multiple locations is strongly preferred.
• Veterinary or healthcare management experience is preferred. Strong candidates from other service-focused industries are welcome.
• Demonstrated ability to coach employees, address concerns directly, and hold teams accountable with professionalism and respect.
• Experience building community relationships and leading local marketing, social media, and email outreach.
• Strong organization, communication, problem-solving, and follow-through.
• Comfort reviewing business results and turning opportunities into practical action.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to work across Union, Paramus, and Green Brook.

Compensation: $65,000-$80,000

Schedule: 40 hours per week 10:30-7pm Mon-Fri and Sat 10-5:30-schedule varies
