In April, a new asset management system goes live, giving you visibility of South Island workshop performance for the first time. It's part of a wider move to electric vehicles, and a chance to lead meaningful change.
About the Role | Mō te Tūranga Based in Christchurch, you'll lead maintenance and engineering across a spread-out network of South Island workshops, working closely with the Operations GM. This includes:

• Leading workshop teams through new standards and transparency
• Lifting technical standards through regular site visits
• Earning the trust of proud, experienced kaimahi
• Keeping fleets available, reliable and safe

About You | Māu
You'll need a technical or engineering qualification (engineering preferred), working knowledge of fault diagnosis and defect elimination, and hands-on exposure to heavy vehicle fleets such as trucks, buses or diesel plant. Bus industry experience isn't essential. You've led maintenance or engineering across multiple sites, with regular travel between them. You'll also:

• See situations from other perspectives and bring people along
• Hold firm on new standards, even when they're unpopular
• Spot what needs improving first-hand and explain a better way
