General Manager – Upscale Fine Dining Restaurant

A nationally recognized, chef-driven restaurant group is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead a high-profile upscale restaurant in Charlotte.

This is an opportunity for a seasoned hospitality leader who understands that exceptional restaurants are built through great people, disciplined operations, genuine hospitality, and consistent execution. We are looking for a GM who is highly visible on the floor, connects naturally with guests and employees, and knows how to build a strong leadership culture while delivering exceptional financial results.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

• 5+ years of General Manager or senior-level restaurant leadership experience
• Strong upscale, fine-dining, steakhouse, or chef-driven restaurant experience
• Experience leading a high-volume, high-expectation operation
• Proven ability to recruit, develop, coach, and retain strong leadership teams
• Excellent understanding of restaurant financials, including sales, labor, COGS, budgeting, forecasting, and profitability
• Strong beverage, wine, and service knowledge
• A hands-on leadership style with a strong presence on the restaurant floor
• High standards for hospitality, food quality, cleanliness, organization, and execution
• Ability to create accountability while maintaining a positive and professional culture
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with culinary leadership and senior company leadership

Key Responsibilities

The General Manager will have overall responsibility for restaurant performance and will:

• Lead the day-to-day operation and overall guest experience
• Develop and hold the management team accountable for operational standards
• Recruit, train, develop, and retain high-performing managers and team members
• Maintain a strong presence during peak service periods
• Drive sales while managing labor, food, beverage, and operating expenses
• Own budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, and financial performance
• Partner closely with the Executive Chef to ensure alignment between the front and back of house
• Maintain exceptional standards for service, hospitality, food quality, and restaurant appearance
• Build relationships with regular guests and within the local Charlotte community
• Create a culture where hospitality, professionalism, accountability, and teamwork are expected every day

The Right Leader

We are looking for more than someone who can manage a restaurant.

The right GM is a hospitality-driven operator and leader who enjoys being in the business, developing people, talking with guests, and setting the tone for the entire restaurant.

You should be equally comfortable reviewing a P&L, coaching a manager, recognizing a regular guest, leading a pre-shift, and stepping onto the floor during a busy Saturday night.

This position offers the opportunity to lead one of Charlotte's premier dining operations while joining an established restaurant organization with a strong reputation for hospitality and culinary excellence.

Compensation

$125,000 - $145,000

Competitive executive-level compensation package based on experience, including base salary and performance-based incentives.

Pay: $125,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
