General Manager, Human Resources & Administration

About the role

The jobholder is to direct report to Group Managing Director to plan directions and develop action plans for the Human Resources and Administration departments to execute to achieve the company's goals.

Key responsibilities

• Formulating and implementing HR policies & procedures and strategically plan HR initiatives and programs.
• Direct recruitment, placement and retention of personnel and supervise the Training dept.
• Manage employee disciplinary, dismissal and industrial relations matters.
• Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices and ensures the company complies with the employment laws and regulations and recommends the best practices.
• Sourcing and negotiation with suppliers for the best contracts, good services, best rates on provisions on a long-term regular basis.
• Coordinating retailing outlets with Head Office Directors on trading licenses applications & renewals.
• Direct supervising the Head Office Administration team in their daily activities like petty cash, purchase of stationeries, and verify Capital Expenditures or Assets Repairing Expenses.

About you

• A degree holder of any disciplines, Human Resources or Business related is an added advantage.
• At least 15 years of experiences in managing multi-spectrum HR team, while having experiences in retail supermarket or departmental environment is an added advantage.
• Strong and proven HR leader with strong communication, negotiation and convincing skills to deal effectively with colleagues of all levels of the organization.
• Has the ability to multi-task and complete numerous tasks within deadlines.
• Pro-active, positive minded and problem solver person.
