About the Role

Yeoman Marine is looking for an experienced and strategic General Manager – Human Resources to lead the organization's HR function and drive people strategies aligned with business growth and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned HR professional with 20+ years of experience, strong leadership capabilities, and preferably a background in Marine, Shipping, Offshore, Engineering, Logistics, or other operationally intensive industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and drive the overall HR strategy and people agenda in alignment with business objectives.
• Oversee manpower planning, recruitment, deployment, retention, and workforce optimization across marine and shore-based operations.
• Ensure timely availability of qualified and competent manpower for business operations.
• Develop and strengthen HR policies, systems, processes, and governance frameworks.
• Drive performance management, succession planning, talent development, and leadership development initiatives.
• Oversee compensation, benefits, payroll, and HR cost management in coordination with Finance.
• Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws, statutory requirements, and relevant maritime regulations.
• Lead employee relations, grievance handling, disciplinary processes, and workplace engagement.
• Build a strong culture of performance, accountability, safety, integrity, and employee engagement.
• Partner with senior management and functional leaders on organizational development and people-related matters.
• Drive HR digitalization, analytics, MIS, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the HR team to build a high-performing HR function.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 20 years of progressive HR experience, including significant experience in a senior HR leadership role.
• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, Management, or a related discipline.
• MBA/PGDM in Human Resources will be preferred.
• Experience in Marine / Shipping / Offshore / Engineering / Logistics / Infrastructure will be an advantage.
• Strong understanding of manpower management, employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, HR compliance, and organizational development.
• Demonstrated ability to work closely with senior management and lead HR transformation initiatives.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, maturity, and professionalism.
