General Manager – Hyatt Select

Charter Road Hospitality is seeking an experienced and highly motivated General Manager to lead our conversion to a Hyatt Select hotel in Oxford, Mississippi.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have previous Hyatt experience and Hyatt training and can bring an established understanding of Hyatt's systems, standards, guest service expectations, and culture to the property. Candidates with strong management experience from other major hotel brands will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and direction for hotel operations.
• Ensure compliance with Hyatt brand standards and company policies.
• Lead the property through its transition to the Hyatt brand and establish strong operational standards.
• Recruit, train, develop, and retain a high-performing hotel team.
• Maintain a visible, hands-on leadership presence throughout the property.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and proactively address service opportunities.
• Manage labor, payroll, expenses, purchasing, budgeting, and overall property profitability.
• Work closely with revenue management and sales teams to maximize occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and market share.
• Maintain high standards for cleanliness, maintenance, safety, and overall property condition.
• Ensure timely completion of operational reports, schedules, inspections, and other management responsibilities.
• Develop department leaders and hold managers and team members accountable for performance.
• Communicate effectively with ownership and corporate leadership regarding hotel performance, staffing, capital needs, and operational concerns.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hotel management experience required.
• Hyatt-trained candidates strongly preferred.
• Previous Hyatt management experience is highly desirable.
• Previous General Manager, Assistant General Manager, Director of Operations, or comparable hotel leadership experience preferred.
• Strong candidates with Hilton, Marriott, IHG, or other major branded hotel experience will also be considered.
• Strong knowledge of hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, maintenance, sales, revenue management, and financial performance.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop employees and build a strong hotel culture.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with hotel openings, conversions, renovations, or brand transitions is a plus.

The successful candidate should communicate proactively, develop a strong management team, maintain a consistent presence in the hotel, and be comfortable working directly with ownership and corporate leadership.
