General Manager Netherlands

Our client is an internationally active, employee-owned manufacturing company with a strong technical orientation and a long-term focus on quality, innovation and customer satisfaction. The organisation develops and produces professional technical solutions for demanding markets and combines international scope with an informal, collaborative and hands-on culture. For its Dutch operation, the company is looking for an experienced General Manager who can further strengthen the local organisation. The Dutch site consists of approximately 35–40 employees and includes production, customer service and team development. The organisation expects further growth in revenue, activities and headcount in the coming years.

Main goal of the position

The main objective is to assume full local responsibility for the Dutch organisation. In the first year, the emphasis will be on visible operational leadership, guiding change, strengthening operational excellence and further developing teams in line with the significant growth in the facility's manufacturing output.

The position

As General Manager Netherlands, you will be responsible for the full operational management of the Dutch site, including production, customer service and team development. The role includes full P&L responsibility and requires strong operational and business insight. You are visibly present on site, stay close to the operation and create clarity, structure and ownership within the organisation. You further develop the business in line with expected growth, while maintaining a strong focus on customers, people and results. Occasional international travel may be part of the role.

The profile

• demonstrable experience in leading a technically oriented manufacturing organization;
• experience in a role with final responsibility, preferably including full P&L accountability;
• strong operational and business insight, with the ability to connect strategy and execution;
• experience with change, growth and further professionalisation of teams and processes;
• visible, hands-on leadership style and natural presence on the shop floor;
• strong people management skills and the ability to engage, develop and empower teams;
• customer-focused, responsible and ownership-driven;
• strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with a pragmatic and improvement-oriented mindset;
• fluent in Dutch and English.
