Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented General Manager – Operations to oversee the complete operational functions of the hotel. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, maintaining high guest-service standards, managing departmental performance, controlling costs, and supporting revenue and profitability objectives.

The ideal candidate should have approximately 10-12 years of experience in the hotel/hospitality industry, with strong leadership, operational, financial, and people-management skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the overall day-to-day operations of the hotel.
• Manage and coordinate Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Sales & Marketing, Finance, and Maintenance and other operational departments.
• Establish and maintain high standards of guest service and hospitality.
• Monitor departmental performance and ensure operational targets are achieved.
• Develop and implement SOPs to improve operational efficiency and service quality.
• Manage staffing, manpower planning, recruitment, training, and employee performance.
• Monitor hotel expenses, operational costs, budgets, and cost-control measures.
• Work closely with Sales & Marketing to improve occupancy, revenue, and business opportunities.
• Monitor guest feedback, reviews, complaints, and service-recovery activities.
• Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, security, and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure quality and cost-effective procurement.
• Conduct regular operational meetings and review departmental KPIs.
• Prepare and present operational reports to the hotel owners/management.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, productivity, guest satisfaction, and profitability.
• Handle critical operational issues and make timely management decisions.
• Maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, business partners, vendors, and key stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• MBA in Hotel/Hospitality Management or MBA in Business Management.
• Approximately 10-12 years of experience in the hotel/hospitality industry.
• Experience in a senior hotel operations or management role preferred.
• Strong knowledge of hotel operations and hospitality standards.
• Good understanding of budgeting, cost control, revenue, and profitability.
• Excellent leadership and team-management abilities.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple departments and work in a fast-paced environment.
