General Manager - Operations

General Manager – Hamilton Operations at Flextech Industries Inc.

Leadership

• A business champion with experience in managing operations of a complex metal fabrication facility
• Proven track record of increasing sales, controlling costs and increasing profits
• Nice to have - experience with metal hoses, bellows, expansion joints and dampers
• Ability to work effectively with people and to motivate, retain, hire and train staff
• Responsible for all aspects of manufacturing operations including profitability
• Lead successful development and execution of the strategic plan

People

• Motivate, build and lead a high-performance operations team
• Work closely with manufacturing leaders in both the US & Canada, sharing best practices and developing plans to increase productivity of manufacturing facilities
• Lead employees to encourage best performance

Lean Manufacturing

• Develop and implement operational efficiencies and manufacturing best practices
• Nice to have – experience with Lean Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints, Lean Manufacturing, the Toyota Production System, Kaizen, Business Plan Review process at Ford etc.
• Identify opportunities for continuous process improvements throughout the organization, provide direction and work closely with staff for implementation

What you will need

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field
• Nice to have – MBA from a top tier business school
• A minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in progressively senior positions managing a metal fabrication facility.
• Experience holding direct accountability for manufacturing operations, multi-site facilities and teams
• Demonstrated ability to manage cost (procurement of raw material and logistics) and increasing revenue
• Strong business acumen, analytical, financial, and P&L skills
• Experience with applications such as Seradex is considered an asset
• Extensive experience with supply chain management and Lean Six Sigma practices

Pay: $120,000.00-$140,000.00 per year

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

Experience:

• Metal fabrication: 10 years (preferred)
• People Management: 10 years (preferred)

Work Location: In person
