General Manager Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

We are seeking an experienced General Manager of Manufacturing to oversee complete plant operations, regulatory compliance, production schedules, and supply chain logistics for our pharmaceutical facility. You will lead cross-functional teams across Production, Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC), Supply Chain, Engineering, and EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) to ensure operational excellence, cost efficiency, and strict adherence to global regulatory standards (cGMP, US FDA, EU GMP, WHO).

Key Responsibilities

• Plant Operations & Production: Direct day-to-day manufacturing activities for active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), solid dosages, or sterile injectables. Optimize yield, equipment effectiveness (OEE), and throughput while controlling operational costs.
• Regulatory & Quality Compliance: Ensure strict compliance with cGMP, local regulatory authorities, and international health bodies. Lead audit preparations and represent the plant during regulatory inspections (FDA, EMA, ISO).
• Financial & P&L Management: Manage plant P&L, annual operational budgets (OPEX/CAPEX), cost-containment initiatives, and resource allocation to achieve financial targets.
• Engineering & EHS: Oversee plant maintenance, facility validation, equipment automation, and safety programs. Ensure zero-harm workplace standards and environmental sustainability practices.
• Strategic Supply Chain & Inventory: Partner with procurement and logistics teams to maintain robust raw material pipelines, minimize inventory holding costs, and guarantee on-time product deliveries.
• Leadership & Talent Development: Lead, train, and mentor department heads. Drive continuous improvement cultures (Lean, Six Sigma, 5S) and promote high accountability across shifts.Role & responsibilities
