General Manager (Production)

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

· Strategic Planning & Execution:

· Plan and implement daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.

· Ensure alignment of production targets with business goals and orders.

· Monitor productivity and recommend process improvements, if any.

Team Management:

· Lead production team across various polishing sections.

· Coordinate manpower allocation based on workload and shift planning.

Process Control & Quality Assurance:

· Ensure all polishing work is done as per quality standards.

· Review quality reports and implement corrective actions, if required.

· Ensure that production produced is as per the benchmark defined.

Inventory & Resource Planning:

· Monitor raw diamond stock and polished output on daily basis.

· Coordinate with store and procurement department for any material requirement.

· Ensure optimum utilization of tools, machines, and human resources.

Compliance & Safety:

· Ensure all safety protocols, machine handling procedures, and workplace discipline are followed.

· Maintain audit readiness and support internal/external compliance checks.

Skills Required:

· Strong leadership and people management skills

· Knowledge of diamond polishing processes/diamond industry

· Analytical thinking and Problem-solving skills

· Familiar with production related software and reports

· Good communication and team management skills

Qualifications/Prior Experience:

· Graduate (preferred: Gemmologist / GII / Diploma in Diamond Manufacturing / B.E. / B.Sc.)

· 12+ years (minimum 5 years in a senior/leadership role in diamond polishing industry)

Salary Range: Negotiable based on experience
