ABOUT THE COMPANY

We are a Kolkata-based infrastructure project integration and execution management company focused on road and highway construction, earthwork, subgrade preparation, open-cast mining and overburden removal (OBR).

The company operates through an asset-light, back-to-back contracting model, executing project packages through established subcontractors, equipment owners and JV partners rather than relying on its own large machinery fleet or permanent labour gangs.

The Directors lead client relationships and business development. The General Manager will take primary responsibility for converting awarded work orders into successful, timely and profitable execution through effective subcontractor mobilisation, project monitoring, commercial management, billing and collections.

COMPENSATION & PERFORMANCE INCENTIVE

Initial Phase

  • Monthly retainership: 50,000–65,000.
  • Approved business travel and site expenses reimbursed separately on actuals, as per company policy.

Performance-Based Progression

  • Monthly retainership may increase up to 1,00,000 based on demonstrated execution capability, project control, commercial performance and profitability against mutually agreed milestones.

Performance Incentive

  • 10% share of eligible project net profit, subject to a mutually agreed written formula, project-accounting verification and applicable payment conditions.

The incentive structure is designed to reward professionals who deliver measurable project results and protect the company's profitability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Project Execution & Mobilisation
  • Take ownership of awarded project packages from mobilisation through execution and closure.
  • Prepare project execution plans, resource schedules, production targets and mobilisation timelines.
  • Mobilise suitable subcontractors, JV partners, HEMM and other equipment fleet owners.
  • Manage multiple sites or project clusters through site coordinators, regular field visits and structured reporting.
  • Monitor progress, resolve operational bottlenecks and ensure timely completion.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable quality, safety, environmental and statutory requirements.
  1. Road Earthwork & Subgrade
  • Manage bulk earthwork, cutting, embankment filling, compaction and subgrade preparation.
  • Understand relevant MoRTH specifications, measurement procedures and quality requirements.
  • Evaluate lead and lift, borrow-area requirements, material availability, equipment productivity and unit-rate economics.
  • Coordinate earthwork and subgrade subcontractors and, where applicable, allied road construction packages.
  • Monitor output, resource utilisation, quality and cost against approved project estimates.
  1. Open-Cast Mining & Overburden Removal (OBR)
  • Manage excavation and OBR packages in open-cast mining projects.
  • Plan and monitor HEMM deployment, excavation, loading, hauling and dumping operations.
  • Evaluate haul distances, haul-road conditions, production cycles, fuel consumption, equipment utilisation and operating costs.
  • Monitor productivity, unit rates, output, safety and contractual performance.
  • Experience with CCL, ECL, MCL, BCCL, SECL or their contractors will be an advantage.
  1. Subcontractor & JV Management
  • Identify, evaluate and finalise capable subcontractors, JV partners and equipment owners for awarded packages.
  • Negotiate commercially viable rates and structure risk-controlled back-to-back subcontract agreements.
  • Assess vendor capacity, equipment availability, financial capability and execution track record.
  • Establish clear scope definitions, milestones, quality standards, payment terms and performance expectations.
  • Monitor subcontractor output and maintain a reliable backup network to minimise execution disruptions.
  1. Commercial Management, Billing & Profitability
  • Prepare project budgets, rate analyses, cost estimates and margin projections.
  • Monitor actual project costs against approved budgets and take corrective action to prevent margin erosion.
  • Control avoidable expenditure, productivity losses, rework, contractual deductions and cost overruns.
  • Coordinate joint measurements, RA bill preparation, submission, certification and payment follow-up.
  • Monitor client collections and coordinate subcontractor payments in line with contractual obligations and available cash flow.
  • Track project-wise profitability and provide timely information on cost variances, claims, risks and expected cash flows.
  • Ensure that execution decisions remain aligned with approved commercial terms and project profitability targets.
  1. MIS, Monitoring & Governance
  • Establish daily and weekly MIS covering production, progress, equipment deployment, billing, collections and cost variance.
  • Review performance against project schedules, approved budgets and agreed profit margins.
  • Conduct regular site reviews and field audits.
  • Manage site coordinators and ensure timely reporting, issue resolution and corrective action.
  • Report project performance, risks and profitability directly to the Directors.
