Teak is seeking an experienced, hands-on General Manager to lead our restaurant operation in Red Bank.

We are looking for a true hospitality professional who understands that great management happens on the floor. This position requires someone who can lead a busy restaurant, develop and hold a team accountable, maintain high service standards, control costs, and create an exceptional guest experience every shift.

Teak is a high-volume Asian-inspired restaurant with a full bar, sushi program, private dining, rooftop dining and a strong late-night/weekend business. The right GM must be comfortable managing a fast-paced operation with multiple areas and a large FOH team.

What You'll Be Responsible For

• Lead all day-to-day restaurant operations
• Maintain a strong management presence on the floor during service
• Recruit, interview, train and develop FOH employees
• Coach managers, servers, bartenders, hosts, runners and support staff
• Establish clear expectations and hold employees accountable
• Maintain polished, consistent service standards
• Oversee scheduling and control labor based on business levels
• Monitor sales, labor, food cost, beverage cost and other key operating numbers
• Work closely with the Executive Chef and kitchen leadership
• Manage inventory, purchasing and operational controls
• Handle guest concerns professionally and protect the guest experience
• Maintain restaurant cleanliness, organization and presentation
• Ensure health, sanitation and liquor-service standards are followed
• Conduct pre-shift meetings, training and ongoing staff development
• Help drive private events, reservations, repeat business and overall restaurant growth
• Lead busy Friday and Saturday services with confidence and organization

Who We're Looking For

You should have at least 3–5 years of restaurant management experience, preferably in a high-volume, upscale casual or full-service restaurant.

We want someone who:

• Leads from the floor, not from the office
• Has strong food, wine, spirits and cocktail knowledge
• Understands elevated steps of service
• Knows restaurant financials and can read a P&L
• Understands labor management, scheduling and cost controls
• Can train a staff instead of simply managing a schedule
• Is organized, dependable and detail-oriented
• Communicates clearly and handles pressure well
• Is comfortable holding employees accountable
• Understands nightlife and high-volume bar operations
• Takes ownership of the restaurant and doesn't wait to be told what needs attention

This is not an entry-level management position. We are looking for an experienced operator who can step into an established, high-volume restaurant and make the operation stronger.

Compensation

Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.

Full-time position. Nights, weekends and holidays are required.
