General Manager - Restaurant

Duties

• Lead and manage all aspects of restaurant operations, including food preparation, service delivery, and staff supervision to ensure a seamless guest experience
• Oversee food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and compliance with health regulations to maintain the highest quality standards
• Manage inventory control, including ordering, stock rotation, and minimizing waste to optimize profitability
• Supervise and train staff on food handling, customer service, POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, and kitchen procedures
• Oversee shift management, ensuring proper staffing levels, efficient workflow, and timely service during busy hours
• Conduct regular staff training sessions on food production, culinary techniques, team leadership, and managerial communication
• Analyze profit and loss statements to identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost reduction while maintaining excellent service standards
• Handle cash management duties including cash handling procedures and reconciliation of daily sales reports
• Foster a positive team environment by interviewing candidates, onboarding new employees, and providing ongoing coaching and development

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing quick service or fast food restaurants with strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and food industry best practices
• Demonstrated supervisory experience in hospitality management or restaurant management roles with team leadership responsibilities
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; experience with cash handling and transaction processing
• Extensive background in food safety management, inventory control, budgeting, and profit & loss analysis
• Excellent communication skills for managing teams effectively and engaging with customers professionally
• Ability to oversee kitchen operations including food production, catering services, banquets, bar service, and serving functions
• Prior experience in casual dining or fine dining environments is highly desirable; banquet experience is a plus
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
• Basic math skills for financial tasks such as budgeting and cost control; proficiency in managing hospitality teams is essential
