General Manager - Restaurant

Duties

• Oversee all restaurant operations, including food preparation, service delivery, and staff management to ensure smooth and efficient daily functioning.
• Lead hiring, training, coaching, and developing team members to cultivate a high-performing hospitality team dedicated to excellence.
• Manage inventory control processes, including stock ordering, food handling, and waste reduction to optimize profitability.
• Supervise food production and kitchen management, ensuring adherence to food safety standards and quality control protocols.
• Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, sales tracking, and reporting.
• Conduct shift management duties by scheduling staff shifts effectively while maintaining optimal customer service levels during peak hours.
• Analyze profit and loss statements to identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost savings; implement strategies accordingly.
• Ensure compliance with health regulations, food safety policies, and sanitation standards across all restaurant areas.
• Foster a positive work environment through team training sessions focused on customer service excellence and culinary skills development.
• Handle customer inquiries or complaints promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels; promote a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant management with a strong background in food industry operations.
• Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen management best practices.
• Hands-on experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; proficient in cash handling and basic math skills.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with supervising experience in hospitality management or restaurant settings; capable of managing diverse teams.
• Strong understanding of inventory control, food safety management, and food handling procedures aligned with health regulations.
• Excellent communication skills for managerial communication, staff training, interviewing candidates, and customer interaction.
• Ability to analyze financial data including profit & loss reports; skilled in budgeting and cost control strategies.
• Experience in managing hospitality teams within casual dining or fine dining environments; banquet or catering experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of food production processes including culinary techniques; experience with managing kitchen operations is highly desirable.
