General Manager - Restaurant

Duties

• Lead and motivate the hospitality team to deliver outstanding food service and customer experiences, fostering a positive and energetic work environment.
• Oversee food preparation, cooking, and food safety standards to ensure high-quality offerings that meet health regulations.
• Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation.
• Control inventory levels through meticulous stock management, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to optimize profitability.
• Supervise shift management by coordinating staffing schedules, overseeing daily operations, and ensuring smooth service flow during busy hours.
• Conduct staff training sessions on food handling, customer service, safety protocols, and managerial communication to develop a skilled team.
• Analyze profit and loss statements to identify opportunities for growth, implement budgeting strategies, and maximize restaurant profitability.
• Maintain compliance with food safety standards and health regulations through regular inspections and staff education.
• Facilitate hiring processes including interviewing candidates for managerial roles such as assistant managers or team leaders.
• Lead by example in delivering exceptional hospitality experiences in casual dining or fine dining settings, including catering or banquet events when applicable.

Experience

• Proven management experience in quick service or fast food restaurants with a strong background in food industry operations.
• Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking procedures, and food safety management practices.
• Hands-on experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for sales processing and reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise teams effectively through team management, training & development initiatives, and performance evaluations.
• Experience in inventory control, budgeting, profit & loss analysis, and managing hospitality teams within casual or fine dining environments.
• Strong leadership skills with excellent communication abilities for managerial roles including interviewing potential staff members.
• Background in managing kitchen operations alongside front-of-house responsibilities like serving or bar experience is advantageous.
• Familiarity with catering services or banquet event management is a plus for versatile restaurant environments.

Pay: $68,100.00 - $82,200.00 per year
