General Manager - Restaurant

Duties

• Lead daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, service delivery, and staff management to ensure smooth and efficient functioning.
• Manage inventory control processes, including ordering, stock rotation, and waste reduction to maintain optimal stock levels.
• Oversee POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate sales recording, cash handling, and reporting.
• Supervise kitchen activities, ensuring food safety standards are met and food quality is consistently maintained.
• Train, develop, and motivate staff through effective onboarding, ongoing training programs, and performance evaluations.
• Handle customer service issues promptly to uphold high satisfaction levels and foster positive guest relationships.
• Conduct shift management duties including scheduling staff shifts, managing labor costs, and ensuring compliance with health regulations.
• Analyze profit and loss statements to identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost savings.
• Implement food safety protocols and ensure adherence to all health regulations related to food handling and sanitation.
• Facilitate team meetings to communicate goals, gather feedback, and promote a collaborative work environment.

Skills

• Extensive experience in quick service & fast food restaurant management with a strong background in food preparation and cooking techniques.
• Proven ability in managing hospitality teams with excellent team leadership and supervisory skills.
• Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for sales processing and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control procedures, food safety management, and food handling standards.
• Experience in fine dining or casual dining environments with banquet or catering experience is a plus.
• Exceptional managerial communication skills with the ability to interview, train, develop staff, and lead teams effectively.
• Competence in managing budgets, conducting profit & loss analysis, and implementing cost control measures.
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining high levels of customer service excellence.
• Basic math skills for inventory management, financial analysis, and daily operations oversight.
• Demonstrated success in managing hospitality or restaurant operations with previous assistant manager or managerial roles preferred.

Pay: $66,700.00 - $80,400.00 per year
