General Manager - Restaurant

Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and dynamic General Manager to lead our restaurant operations with passion and precision. Duties

• Lead daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service flow from kitchen to front-of-house.
• Manage staff recruitment, training, development, and performance evaluations to build a motivated and skilled team.
• Oversee food preparation, quality control, and food safety standards to deliver consistently excellent dishes.
• Supervise inventory control processes including ordering, stock rotation, and waste reduction to maximize profitability.
• Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for sales transactions, reporting, and financial tracking.
• Handle cash management duties including cash handling accuracy, deposit preparation, and reconciliation.
• Monitor customer service standards actively to ensure guest satisfaction and address any concerns promptly.
• Conduct shift management by coordinating schedules, assigning tasks, and maintaining operational efficiency.
• Analyze profit and loss statements regularly to identify areas for growth and cost control opportunities.
• Implement staff training programs focused on food safety management, culinary skills, and hospitality best practices.

Skills

• Extensive experience in quick service & fast food restaurant environments with a strong background in food preparation and cooking techniques.
• Proven management skills with a track record of supervising teams in casual dining or fine dining settings.
• Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for sales processing and reporting.
• Strong inventory control skills coupled with food safety knowledge to ensure compliance with health regulations.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally and efficiently.
• Effective communication skills for managerial communication, staff training, and team leadership.
• Competence in managing budgets, conducting profit & loss analysis, and implementing cost-saving initiatives.
• Ability to oversee kitchen operations including food production, catering services, bar operations, and banquet events if applicable.
• Experience in managing hospitality teams with a focus on training & development to foster growth within the team.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, inventory counting, and financial analysis tasks.
