General Manager, Bob's Well Bread Bakery & Café (Los Alamos)

Lead our flagship Los Alamos bakery-café, one of the Santa Ynez Valley's most-loved spots, and be home for dinner every night.

Since 2014, Bob's Well Bread has baked naturally leavened bread the old-fashioned way: small batches and the finest ingredients. Our Pain au Levain, croissants, and kouign-amann, along with a full breakfast and lunch menu, keep locals and wine-country visitors coming back. We've been recognized nationally by Travel + Leisure and Sunset.

We're looking for a hospitality pro to set the pace on the floor, build a great team, and make every guest feel like a regular.

Breakfast and lunch service only. No late nights, ever.

What you'll do

• Lead from the floor: greet guests, and set the tone from first coffee to last croissant
• Hire, train, and develop a team that knows our menu, bread program, and service standards
• Own the guest experience, keeping quality, presentation, and hospitality consistently excellent
• Manage scheduling, labor, food & beverage ordering, and inventory to keep the café running efficiently
• Oversee cash handling, POS, deposits and opening and closing procedures
• Keep things smooth through weekend rushes and tourist season, working closely with the kitchen and bakery

What you bring

• 4+ years in hospitality (bakery, café, fast casual, or restaurant), with leadership experience
• A natural leader who stays calm in the rush and loves taking care of people
• Reliability and ownership of results
• Strong communication skills with employees and ownership
• Solid cash handling and POS skills, and a sharp eye for detail
• Availability for early mornings, weekends, and holidays
• Food Handler card (we’ll cover the cost if you need one)
