Job summary:

Leading and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain function, including procurement, inventory planning, distribution, and logistics. This role drives strategic initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels across a multi-category retail environment. The position has to monitor seamless integration from suppliers to final delivery. The incumbent will play a key role in aligning supply chain strategies with overall business objectives and growth plans.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute end-to-end supply chain strategies aligned with business goals.
• Drive cost optimization, service level improvement, and operational scalability.
• Lead transformation initiatives including automation, digitalization, and network optimization.
• Oversee demand planning, supply planning, and inventory replenishment strategies.
• Manage supplier relationships, sourcing strategies, and procurement processes.
• Ensure product availability while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels across the supply chain network.
• Drive working capital efficiency and reduce logistics and operational costs.
• Implement KPI tracking and reporting dashboards.
• Lead and develop supply chain team, build succession plans and enhance team capabilities.
• Promote a high-performance, data-driven, and continuous improvement culture.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Manage supply chain risks and develop contingency plans.
• Benchmark against industry best practices and adopt innovative solutions.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with merchandiser, finance, and operations teams.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
• Master's Degree (e.g., MBA) is an added advantage.
• Professional certifications (e.g., APICS/CPIM/CSCP, Lean Six Sigma) are preferred.
• Minimum 10–15 years of progressive experience in supply chain management.
• At least 5–8 years in senior leadership roles (e.g., Head of Supply Chain, Senior Manager, Director).
• Strong experience in retail, FMCG, or multi-category distribution environments.
• Experience in transformation projects (automation, system implementation, network redesign) is highly desirable.
• Advanced knowledge of ERP systems, and supply chain planning tools.
• Strong data analytics capability (Excel, BI tools, dashboards).
• End-to-end supply chain management (plan, source, make, deliver).
• Inventory optimization, demand forecasting, and S&OP processes.
• Regulatory and safety compliance, especially for FMCG.
• Strategic thinking with strong business acumen, leadership and stakeholder management at senior levels.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
• Results-driven with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Ability to manage complexity and lead change in a dynamic environment.
