General Manager (Workshop)

Bansal Motors is looking for an experienced and result-oriented General Manager – Workshop to manage and oversee complete commercial vehicle workshop and service operations. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in workshop management, team leadership, customer service, revenue generation, productivity, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end operations of the commercial vehicle workshop.
• Lead and manage workshop manpower, including Service Advisors, Supervisors, Technicians, Electricians, and Helpers.
• Drive workshop revenue, productivity, profitability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction targets.
• Monitor job allocation, repair quality, turnaround time (TAT), and timely vehicle delivery.
• Handle customer complaints and ensure prompt and effective resolution.
• Monitor workshop expenses, spare parts consumption, productivity, and operational wastage.
• Coordinate closely with Parts, Warranty, Insurance, Sales, and other departments.
• Ensure compliance with OEM standards, safety procedures, quality requirements, and workshop policies.
• Track and review daily, weekly, and monthly workshop performance and KPI reports.
• Identify operational gaps and implement corrective actions to improve workshop performance.
• Train, guide, motivate, and develop workshop staff to improve productivity and service quality.
• Maintain high standards of customer experience and workshop discipline.
• Ensure efficient utilization of workshop infrastructure, tools, equipment, and manpower.

Candidate Requirements

• 8–12+ years of relevant experience in Commercial Vehicle Workshop / Service Operations.
• Strong knowledge of commercial vehicle servicing, repair, maintenance, and diagnostics.
• Proven experience in managing a large workshop team and day-to-day service operations.
• Strong understanding of workshop KPIs, revenue, productivity, profitability, and cost control.
• Excellent leadership and team-management skills.
• Strong customer-handling and complaint-resolution abilities.
• Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a target-driven and operationally demanding environment.
• Experience with an OEM-authorized commercial vehicle dealership/workshop will be preferred.
