Job Title: General Operative

Salary: £13.52 Per Hour - Raising to £13.92 Per Hour after successful probation

Hours: 0800 - 1700 Mon - Fri -1 Hours unpaid Break

Your role:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a General Operative to join our recovery team at our Upwood site.

This role will be responsible for sorting and repairing broken pallets safely and accurately, using the tools and equipment provided, ensuring that you work at your optimum level to maximise your output and quality of the products in line with the required specification.

You will be responsible for setting up your workstations to be efficient to meet continuous high levels of output, and to ensure your tools & equipment are safe to use by completing all relevant checks and reporting any defects. You will undertake all tasks that are delegated to you by Supervisors and Managers on site.

You will play a key part in the team to adhere to our Health and Safety Procedures and Policies to maintain the required high safety standards, which includes wearing your Personal Protective Equipment when stipulated. You will act as a key member of the Scott Pallets team and demonstrate the company values when dealing with all internal and external stakeholders. You must be punctual and follow the company attendance procedure.

As a General Operative, you will work effectively with others, have excellent time keeping, be a team player and understand the wider site processes to support when able to do so. A can-do attitude and excellent attention to detail are key to success.
